For developers using Evolver character content, our Evolver Direct service is an exciting feature of the new ACP Accelerated Character Pipeline.
With Evolver Direct, you bypass the RIG phase completely, since all Evolver content uses the same rigging setup! You can see Evolver Direct in action here - our Deep6 demo cutscene was created entirely using Evolver Direct.
Q: Do I still need to upload my Evolver character assets, even thought you don't need to test the rigging?
A: No. We can use our proxy Evolver character assets - the only difference is that if you choose to use Evolver Direct with a proxy character, you won't see your own character in REV as we do the animation for you.
Q: Is Evolver Direct faster than the usual FacePro workflow?
A: Yes. Especially if you choose to use Evolver Direct with the proxy character option; then all we need are your audio files, and animation can begin immediately.
Q: Does Evolver Direct still work the same way with the ACP Accelerated Character Pipeline.?
A: Yes. In fact, Evolver Direct was created specifically to be the preferred first stage of the ACP pipeline.
