A: No, we can create animation using your existing bone rig, or by using your morph targets. The FacePro rigs are offered as a way to get started quickly, or for those who don't already have facial rigs in place.
Q: How did you arrive at these bone counts and this rig design?
A: Our pre-built rigs are based on experiences with many types of rigs over the years, and reflect our "use what works best" approach to facial animation. Game engines have a lot to do at runtime, and our rigs are designed to provide a high level of facial control with a minimum number of bones. Our flexible rig design also allows bones to be added easily.
